AN INEXPENSIVE PARKER PEN FROM THE DEPRESSION TIME : THE PENCO PEN

During the Great Depression Parker made some pens under it's own brand name but also under other less common names: COLONIAL , PENCO, CADILLAC, FIFTH AVE. , SAFFORD ( the midlle name of the founder and company owner, George SAFFORD Parker ....???????). During the Madrid Pen Show I found a pen with a clip similar to the Eisenstadt or the Gold Medal pens   in the table of my friend Alfredo Recuero Sarmento . The interesting of this pen was not only  the shape of the clip but also that it was made in a celulloid similar to the Challenger Parkers ;  the barrel's imprint was also similar to the Parker ones,  but it was a bulb filler! After a research I found in the Vacumatic book by Dan Zazove, David Shepherd and Geoffrey Parker that the PENCOPEN was  made by Parker!
